AhlulBayt News Agency - In the sideline of this meeting where the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance was also present, Mahdi Azizian said to the Quds correspondent, “The Islamic Research Foundation offers the translation and publication of a selection of papers from Encyclopedia of Astan Quds Razavi in English and Persian as well as the publication of a work with the subjects of Imam Reza (A.S.), pilgrimage of his holiness, and acquainting with the Holy Shrine in different Islamic languages just like what happened for the Silk Road; it also has put on agenda a research project titled as ‘the united community’ in concern with the welcoming the introduction of Mashhad as the cultural capital of the Islamic world and production of Khorasan Razavi atlas, as well as a number of selected works of the Islamic Research Foundation summarized in Arabic and English.”
Referring to compilation of a book around the introduction of scientific and political figures of the Islamic world who have ever visited the Holy Shine, Deputy Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi said, “Producing the ISESCO atlas, offering geographical, social, and economic information about ISESCO member countries for the audiences in the conferences are also among the proposed plans of the Foundation.”
Noting that holding meetings with the institutions of the Islamic countries and doing integrated activities across the Islamic world on such clarified subjects as supporting the programs of ‘in the shade of the sun’, holding the international congress of ‘life skills’, and dedication of content-based package to the Islamic institutions have been proposed by the Institution of Consultancy Services, Deputy Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi added, “Imam Reza (A.S.) University also contributes in holding the meeting of the Muslim youth and students from around the world and organizes the festival of ‘light of Imamate’ as well as international free discussion panels, and development of capacities and cyberspace activities in the university with the purpose of reviving the international debates of Imam Reza (A.S.) and the public and global promotion and organization of the multi-lingual cyber activities for students, seminarians, and professors of universities and seminaries; such programs can be integrated into the program of ‘The Sun of Wilayat’ developed by the Razavi Cultural Foundation and the program of the talented youth of the Institution of Art Creations.”
Holding the festival of ‘The Sun of Wilayat’ and sport competitions
“Razavi Cultural Foundation proposes holding the 10th round of the international cultural and art festival of ‘The Sun of Wilayat’ in line with propagating the conduct and tradition of Imam Reza (A.S.) among the students of the world; in the sport section also 10 teams from 10 Islamic countries have declared readiness in participating in the teenagers and the youth sport competitions in Taekwondo, Judo, and wrestling that arrangements with the related federations and offices will be made in case the clauses are approved at least six month before the execution”, Deputy Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi remarked.
Dispatch of books to 1000 libraries across the Islamic world
By expounding the proposed plans of ‘Beh Nashr’, Deputy Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi declared, “The publications of this institution and other cultural institution along with holding the book fair with the subject of Islamic culture and civilization for the foreign guests and tourists as well as the public and private institutions involved in ‘Mashhad 2017’ have been proposed.”
According to him the Organization of Libraries, Museums, and Documentation Center is ready to publish the books and documents about different subjects including Mashhad, exquisite publications, exquisite documents of Astan Quds Razavi, history and architecture of Holy Shrine, and traditional medicine, and to send them to 1000 libraries across the Islamic world in order to take a step for introducing the advanced capacities of Astan Quds Razavi and the cultural and political identity of Mashhad to the audiences and researchers in the libraries of the Islamic world.
Referring to the plans proposed by the Institution of Art Creations, Deputy Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi said, “Introducing the Baysonqor Qur’an, ‘Ahuwane’ festival, producing documentaries, organizing meeting for photographers of religious monuments of the Islamic world in Mashhad, and holding the specialized Razavi Holy Shrine photography workshop and exhibition are other plans arranged for ‘Mashhad 2017’.”
Deputy Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi recounted holding a visiting tour from the International Publication and Printing Center for Holy Qur’an and cooperating in publication of cultural books and products with the institutions involved in implementation of programs of ‘Mashhad 2017’ as other publication programs of Astan Quds Razavi and added, “Quds Cultural Institution also has the responsibility of research study plan in regard to the countries that have been so far nominated as the cultural capital; it also has produced a special issue on the cultural capital of the Islamic world through interviewing with the scientific and cultural figures of the Islamic world.”
He also referred to the news coverage, holding exhibition, and publication of the special issue of Holy Shine and introducing the performances of Astan Quds Razavi by Public Relations Office of Astan Quds Razavi and added, “The domain of these programs includes the permanent exhibition, subscribers of the special issue, and the related state and provincial managers as well as all the elites.”
Azizian described also the research-based and strategic activities of Assistance of Sacred Premises performed in line with introducing the premises as the bases of interaction and avoiding pilgrims’ bewilderment and added, “The goals presented in this section include drafting proper methods of spiritualization in the sacred premises, designing and establishment of crisis management system in Mashhad and in the Holy Shine in particular, defining the interactive system with pilgrims-serving organizations, clarifying the approaches of making interaction with the internationals religious places, presenting a systematic traffic system in the Razavi Holy Shrine, public contributions in rendering service, promoting pilgrims’ attachment to rituals of pilgrimage and the ceremonies.”
Azizian also pointed to the conference of culture of pilgrimage and consecration, the books on pilgrimage culture, inviting pilgrimage groups of Muslim scholars and the specialized meeting of Muslim thinkers and scholars, Imam (A.S.) and civilization and position of Mashhad in the Iranian culture and added, “In this regard, Department of Advertising and Communications has proposed a variety of programs for ‘Mashhad 2017’.”
